Overview

This Terms of Use governs your use of the Maxwell mobile application and the website at maxwellventures.app.

Eligibility & account

You must comply with applicable laws and be able to enter a binding contract. Keep your account secure.

App is free; optional supporter program

The app’s features are free to all users. Optional Supporter subscriptions are available; they do not unlock features. We donate 10% of net proceeds (post app store fees) to dog safety and rescue charities. See Transparency for details.

Subscriptions (Auto-Renewing)

Title: Maxwell Supporter

Length: Monthly (1 month) subscription (and Annual, where offered).

Price: Displayed in-app and in your local currency in the App Store at purchase time. Pricing may vary by region and is subject to change. Taxes may apply.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Manage or Cancel: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time by going to iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions after purchase.

Free Trial (if offered): Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. After the trial ends, the subscription automatically renews at the then-current price unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the trial.

Feature Access: Supporter subscriptions are optional and do not unlock app features; they provide a way to support Maxwell and related charitable efforts.

User content & conduct

Don’t post illegal, harmful, or infringing content. We may remove content or restrict access for violations.

Disclaimers; safety

The app provides information to assist pet safety but does not replace professional advice or emergency services.

Billing

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Manage or cancel in your account settings. Taxes and pricing follow each platform’s rules. Refunds are subject to platform policies.

Donations & transparency

We donate 10% of net proceeds (post-fees) from Supporter subscriptions to registered charities (US only at launch). See https://maxwellventures.app/transparency.

Intellectual property

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Maxwell is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We’ll post the updated Effective date and, where appropriate, notify users.
