Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Maxwell Ventures ("Maxwell", "we") collects, uses, and shares information through the Maxwell app and maxwellventures.app.

Data we collect

• Account: email, display name (if provided).
• Device: OS, app version, push token.
• Location: with your consent, to power safety features (stored securely).
• Content: photos you choose to upload (for hazards/lost dogs).

How we use data

• Provide and improve the app, notifications, and community features.
• Safety analytics (weather/hazards), fraud prevention, debugging.

Supporter subscriptions

Processed by Apple/Google. We receive purchase status and identifiers from RevenueCat for accounting and transparency. We do not store full payment details.

Transparency & donations

We publish aggregate monthly/quarterly donation reports (US only at launch). No personal data is published.

Sharing

Service providers (e.g., Firebase, RevenueCat). Law enforcement when required by law. No data is sold.

Retention

Keep data as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize.

Your choices

• Manage permissions (location/notifications) in device settings.
• Access, update, or delete your account data by contacting support.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive data where applicable.

Children

Not intended for children under 13. If we learn we’ve collected data from a child, we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll post the updated Effective date and, where appropriate, notify users.
